Terms of Service

  For Parents and Guardians: MathBuddy is designed for children in Kindergarten through Grade 12 (ages 5–18). All accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By registering, you confirm that you are the parent or guardian of the child who will use this Service and that you consent to these Terms on behalf of your child.

These Terms of Service govern your use of MathBuddy, operated by iFun Education ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Registration — Parents and Guardians Only

MathBuddy accounts must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. Children must not register accounts independently. By registering, you confirm that:

You are the parent or legal guardian of the child who will use MathBuddy
You are at least 18 years of age
You consent to the collection and use of your child's educational data as described in our Privacy Policy
You are responsible for your child's activity on the platform

2. Children's Privacy — COPPA Compliance

MathBuddy fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not allow children under 13 to independently register accounts or provide personal information without verified parental consent. By registering an account, the parent or guardian provides that consent.

Parents may at any time review, correct, or delete their child's data, or revoke consent by contacting us at mathbuddy@ifuneducation.com or deleting the account through Account Settings.

3. Free Trial and Subscription

MathBuddy offers a 7-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required during the trial. After the trial, continued access requires a subscription at $4.99/month, billed automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel anytime through Account Settings and retain access until the end of the billing period.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment details. For billing disputes, contact mathbuddy@ifuneducation.com within 30 days of the charge.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to share your account, allow unauthorized users to access the Service, use the Service for unlawful purposes, or attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the platform.

6. AI-Generated Content

MathBuddy uses AI to generate math problems and tutoring responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI content may occasionally contain errors. MathBuddy is a supplemental tool and does not replace qualified teachers or classroom instruction.

7. Intellectual Property

All content and features of MathBuddy are owned by iFun Education. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend accounts for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.

11. Changes to Terms

We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
